Hey guys! Like I said, I’m leaving for Mississippi early this Friday. Tomorrow (Thursday) I’ll be pretty busy all day, so there will be no updates until after I come back (July 3rd). I made a few changes to the layout since the last time I posted, and I’ll continue to tweak it here and there-not quite done yet!
This week I have something running that I call Operation Wardrobe Stretch. Since I don’t have many clothes, I’ll have to try to stretch my clothes out so that I don’t have to do my laundry until I come back. The result? All these crazy clothes combinations. I don’t think I’ll actually *wear* them when the time comes, but it’s handy to know how I can stretch out my wardrobe.
I’m packing today. Tomorrow I’ll be busy all day, and Friday I’ll be leaving very early. So, yeah, today is the last day I can pack. I even made a list and everything. Hope I don’t forget anything…
Tonight I’m taking the Drivers State Exam for my state. I’m actually pretty relaxed about it. Tests don’t really freak me out anymore. Maybe it’s because I took the SAT and PSAT a total of 5 times. I’m sure I’ll pass, so I don’t really feel nervous or anything like that.
On a side note, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith is a must read. I just finished it yesterday. Go read it now.

Another lazy Sunday. That is, until this fall. (Excuse me, Onion, my sister, is reading this as I type. Better go, ahem, distract her.) In August I’m going to audition for an orchestra. No, I’m already a member, but I’m auditioning for the 1st violin part in Bach’s Double Concerto for my orchestra’s fall performance. Apparently the auditions were supposed to be in June, but my violin teacher talked to the conductor so I could audition in August. The piece itself is not that hard, but it’s just that auditions suck, no matter what.
My mom’s now into Facebook. Same as my dad. They both got sucked in into the “reconnection with old friends” idea. So now every night nowadays I see my parents using their respective Facebook accounts. It’s weird, because my father got into Facebook the same time as I quit.
Speaking of social networking, I deleted my Twitter account a year and a half ago. Just for the heck of it, I went to Twitter a few days ago and looked at my old account to see if it’s there. Turns out, it was. You can see it here, if you care to. XD I don’t know what happened, but when I tried to log into the account, it won’t let me in, and I deleted the email that was associated with the account. I guess account deletion according to Twitter means that they don’t let you in your account but keep it on the website. Huh. Maybe I’ll make another Twitter. I don’t know yet. What do you guys think?
Oh, by the way, I’m thinking of adding a weekly feature for the posts to keep things interesting. I don’t know what to post yet, though. Maybe something about real life (not a blog post about my life, but about the things we have to deal with). Or maybe posting my old “guide to emotions” that I wrote when I was 12 for entertainment value and sentimentality….Anyway, tell me what you think!

Yep, things are really going now. What do you think of the new layout? I tried yellow this time, since I haven’t worked with yellow in a while. As of the time I’m writing this, I’m updating the main page, moving the updates back to the homepage. Also, I’m going to need to make a new favicon to go with the layout. The current one doesn’t match.
This weekend I’m still free until this Friday. I’ll be leaving for Mississippi for my aunt’s wedding, like I told you a few posts ago. I’m really excited! Yesterday I went shopping with my mom and sister, and I got a few clothes. On the wedding I’ll be wearing a pseudo-dress.
Have you read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn? I know it’s a classic book, so quite a few of you have read it in high school or something. It’s really interesting. I’m about halfway through it by now. Since it’s for my literature class, I’m going to have to write a report for it.
That’s all for now. Later!
