Craft Show
Today was a really hectic day for me. I’ll tell you why:My mother owns a business. She sells jewelry and accessories. So in order to be more well-known and to make more money, she has to go to a thing called craft shows. Craft shows aren’t bad. I get to make money and have a bit of fun myself. Plus, there are nice old ladies. (Except for I get treated differently when I cut my hair and look like a boy) So every year, one of the craft shows we go to are in Toledo. We went to that one for 3, 4 years in a row. It’s one of my favourites, too.
This morning my mom woke me up at 6:00 AM, then woke up my dad. I did my morning routine, went downstairs, and went online for five minutes. (We had already pack all the stuff yesterday) Then Onion woke up, did her stuff, and we all went into the car. Except for my dad. He kept lagging and saying, “We’ll make it somehow,” Which is annoying, since I hate being late. 15 minutes later, and he finally got into the car. The time was 6:30, and we had to be there by 7:00 to set up. And the ride usually takes us around 45 minutes. >.< I admit, I acted like a bit of a brat this morning. >.<
So we got there, and we were the first people. xD So me, my mom, and my dad just sat in the car eating some wraps that my mom had made the day before. Onion was asleep. 20 minutes later, the lady that manages the craft show came and unlocked the church, so we could get in and set up. The set up went fairly quickly; it took us about 30 minutes. By then the craft show has begun to start, but didn’t exactly start yet. I had brought some of my books to read to pass the time. *fast forwards*
Noon came. I was starving. The concessions stand didn’t have much, and the stuff they have that I liked, the portions were tiny. Sales weren’t very good either, but we managed to pay off the gas prices and the rental prices. Which was good, of course. *fast forwards* Ahh…3:55 came, time to close! Woo! We sold 130-some dollars, in which 13 is mine. =D So we hurriedly tore down all the stuff (took us 30 minutes), packed it into the car, and went to eat at KFC’s.
