Trunk or Treat
There's this even at my church called "Trunk or Treat." So basically it's like a fall fun/Halloween party for Christians. I usually go to these more than Halloween party, since it's more "family friendly" and there's no scary costumes.So, anyway, we went there at 7:00, and there were already lots of people there. I quickly located my friends, Haley (and her sister) and Jasmine. Haley and Jasmine are two of my friends, both younger than me. But they're awesome ^^ We went into the main building, listened to some stuff (my hearing aid broke so I didn't know what we were listening to D:), prayed, and then ate. The food was basic, just hot dogs, chili, and potato chips. But I didn't really feel like eating anything, so I just ate a hot dog.
When we were done eating, the hay ride was ready. You shoulda seen all those kids running there. There were a lot. But we didn't get there in time, so we just hung around the bonfire. And then we missed the second ride, which Jasmine managed to catch. So we waited around the bonfire again. -.-
8 o'clock came, and the main events began. There were trunks, which was just the back of some cars decorated. When you get to a trunk, you're supposed to say (or yell) "Trunk or treat" and then the people in the trunks'll give you some stuff (mostly candy). Onion and I got a lot, and we were pretty satisfied.
Then the machine (I'm not sure what it was, I think it's a tractor or something) broke, so we had to wait another half hour before they fixed it. So we went back to the main building and did a cake walk. I didn't get anything, but Onion got a cupcake. During the cakewalk, someone ran and shouted that the tractor (or whatever it was) was fixed. So everybody ran (again) but it already left. >.>
And we hung around the bonfire AGAIN. DX *fast forwards* The next ride was now ready, and hence came the usual stream of kids. Onion and I managed to get in, but Haley and her sis didn't. Which sucked. But the hay ride wasn't bad, but Jasmine made it sound so scary. xD We went into the woods behind the church, nothing more. Then some kids started throwing hay and swearing, and the operator (which was a teen) shouted at them to shut up. And people got mad, so they started to throw stuff at other people. There was this nice kid, though. He helped brush off the hay from me, Onion, and some other people. By then everybody was mad (OK, including me.) and start throwing hay. But I didn't, however. By the time the ride ended, everybody was mad. >.> Which sucked. But , oh well.
Haley got on the next ride, but me and Onion had to go. So we went, and that's it. We got back home, traded candy, and here I am, typing this. (It's 10:20 PM, btw)
